Health Information
All prescription medications brought by a delegate who is under 18 will be kept in a locked unit, and will be administered by one of our nursing staff. A delegate may carry bee sting medications, epipen, inhalers, an insulin syringe, or other medication device used in the event of life threatening situations.
Medications are to be in the original container, with the name of the medication, dosage, frequency of administration and the route of administration. The label should also have the name of the prescribing physician, the prescription number, date prescribed, and other special instructions as needed.
All prescribed medication bottles should be placed in a plastic bag and labeled with the delegates full name. Plastic bags will be collected by the nursing staff at their registration table.
If any ALABGS delegate has surgery or injury prior to the ALABGS session limiting their ability to walk, the parent/guardian must contact the Executive Director Joanie Dickerson at bgs.exec.director@gmail.com prior to the start of the session.
Doing the required amount of walking with a cast or crutches (approximately 6 miles per day) may not be feasible.
In this event, the parent/guardian must provide a wheelchair in good working order for the delegate to use during the entire week of attendance.

ALABGS is not liable for any damages to the wheelchair or any other personal medical equipment brought to the session by parents/guardians or delegates.

Dietary Needs
Delegates have three meals a day. If there are specific dietary needs (gluten-free, vegan, allergies, etc.) please contact Executive Director Joanie Dickerson at bgs.exec.director@gmail.com before the session begins.
